Warehouse logistics robots belong to the category of industrial robots, which refer to machine devices applied in the warehousing process that can automatically perform operations such as goods transfer and handling by receiving instructions or pre-set programs in the system. As an important component of smart logistics, warehouse logistics robots have responded to the development needs of the new era and become a breakthrough point for the logistics industry to solve bottleneck problems such as high dependence on manual labor and limited sorting capacity during peak business hours.

According to different application scenarios, warehousing and logistics robots can be divided into five categories: AGV robots, palletizing robots, sorting robots, AMR robots, and RGV shuttle vehicles:

AGV robot

Automatic Guided Vehicles, also known as Automatic Guided Vehicles, are high-performance intelligent logistics handling equipment mainly used for the handling and movement of freight. Automatic guided vehicles can be divided into guided vehicles with rails and guided vehicles without rails. As the name suggests, guided vehicles need to lay tracks and can only move along them. Trackless guided vehicles do not require the use of tracks and can turn freely, with higher flexibility and intelligence. The core technologies used in automatic guided vehicles include sensor technology, navigation technology, servo drive technology, system integration technology, etc.

Robot Palletizer 

A machine equipment used for stacking goods or performing logistics tasks such as packing and shipping. Each palletizing robot carries an independent robot control system, which can stack different shapes according to different goods. The speed and quality of palletizing robots for handling heavy objects are much higher than manual labor, and they have the advantages of high load-bearing capacity, high frequency, and high flexibility. According to the form of motion coordinates, palletizing robots can be divided into Cartesian robots, articulated robots, and polar robots.

Sorting robot

It is a machine equipment that can quickly sort goods. Sorting robots can use image recognition systems to distinguish the shape of items, use robotic arms to grab items, and then place them in designated positions to achieve rapid sorting of goods. The core technologies used by sorting robots include sensors, objective lenses, image recognition systems, and multifunctional robotic arms.

AMR robot

Automatic Mobile Robot, also known as Autonomous Mobile Robot, has certain advantages compared to AGV guided vehicles, mainly reflected in:

① The intelligent navigation capability is stronger, and it can use cameras, internal sensors, and scanners to detect the surrounding environment and plan optimal paths;

② The flexibility of autonomous operation is superior, and the transportation route can be freely adjusted through simple software adjustments;

③ Economically applicable, can be quickly deployed, and has a low initial cost.

RGV shuttle car

It is an intelligent warehousing equipment that can be operated in conjunction with forklifts, stackers, and shuttle trucks to achieve automated three-dimensional warehouse access. It is suitable for densely stored shelf areas and has the characteristics of fast operation speed, strong flexibility, and simple operation.
